In the event that a member of the Board of Trustees of the Ocean Springs School District resigns, he/she should give written notice to the School Board and the governing authorities of Ocean Springs as to when his/her resignation will become effective.

If the resigning Board Member is elected from the added territory outside the corporate limits of Ocean Springs, he/she should give written notice to the School Board, the governing authorities of Ocean Springs, and the Superintendent of Schools of the Ocean Springs School District.
